Business Objects Architect
The Business Objects Architect will lead all aspects of the delivery of Business Intelligence (BI) solutions and will synthesize overall strategy by analyzing a wide variety of solutions, selecting the most relevant tools/techniques to meet specific client requirements such as business case, pricing, or complex financial analysis, and interpreting and reporting on outputs.
Key responsibilities:
  • Develop architecture/implementation plans for Business Intelligence projects utilizing SAP Business Objects.
  • Perform technical and advisory functions in the development of Business Objects architecture and the creation of frameworks for reporting, dashboards, delivery and scheduling.
  • Experience with all facets of Business Objects security including creating users, groups and access levels
  • Development of processes, operating procedures and standards in support of ETL functionality.
  • Oversee the management and maintenance of Business Objects Enterprise servers; creates and coordinates the continued development and enhancement of Business Object Universes.
  • Experience in information systems applications, data warehouses and decision support systems.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ of experience in the installation and implementation of Business Objects.
  • Extensive knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts and principles.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Business Intelligence Analyst – Senior Consultant
The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst will play a lead role across the full project lifecycle for BI projects, from analyzing reporting requirements to designing, developing, testing, deploying, training, and supporting users on reporting solutions that meet those requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning projects (e.g., setting goals, estimating effort, projecting schedule, etc.).
  • Analyze, organize, and prioritize reporting requirements.
  • Profile the data necessary to meet the reporting requirements, back to the data source.
  • Design solutions to meet the reporting requirements.
  • Design or assist in designing the data model necessary to meet the reporting requirements.
  • Create training materials and conduct training on reporting solutions.
  • Create documentation to establish requirements traceability and help the user community.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience creating solutions to support complex information analysis.
  • Proficiency with Business Objects (e.g., Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, Xcelsius).
  • Proficiency with SQL.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
  • Proficiency with Financial subject matter (e.g., Accounting, Procurement, GL, Financial Metrics).
  • Proficiency with migration (e.g., promotion from development to test to production).
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Dashboard Developer – Sr. Consultant

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather requirements in order to design dashboards.
  • Develop and test front-end dashboards and reports.
  • Work in a team environment to deliver solid client solutions.
  • Participate in setting engagement objectives and scope; develop work plans for components of engagements, coordinate activities between work streams and identify changes in scope.
  • Design deliverable content to precisely reflect the engagement contract and client needs and strive to improve deliverable quality through verification and validation of results.

Job Requirements:

  • At least 3 years’ experience with Business Objects, particularly Web Intelligence (WebI) report creation.
  • Good understanding of query writing and streamlining of Xcelsius data feeds (Live Office and QAAWS).
  • Advanced Excel skills, good analytical skills and experience with complex scenarios.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ consulting and/or industry experience is required.
  • Experience with SAP BI Query and SQL.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

ETL Developer – Sr. Consultant
The Senior ETL Developer will be responsible for the Business Objects Data Services ETL components of universe design, creation, and population. This ETL Consultant will interact heavily with both the Data Modeler and the Business Objects Report Developers. This individual must be able to apply system solutions to business problems and must have proven project life-cycle documentation skills; e.g., functional user requirements, technical requirements, testing documentation, and participate in the business reports design and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administration and maintenance of the EDW production and development environments.
  • Production source system analysis, logical and physical database design and implementation.
  • Assist in the troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving of complex Business Object problems.
  • Transform defined business requirements into data model, and EDW ETL process, and implement them rapidly and accurately.
  • Development of processes, operating procedures and standards in support of ETL functionality.
  • Participate in business reports development and maintenance.
  • Document and conduct peer review and code walk-through of any ETL changes, and follow standard process for production implementation.

Job Requirements: 

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience authoring ETL using Business Objects Data Services (BODS) OR 7 years’ of experience in ETL development with other ETL tools.
  • Proficiency with dimensional and relational modeling, especially as it applies to data marts and warehouses.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, self directed, accountable and a great team player.
  • Experience authoring and tuning SQL.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Senior Financial Consultant

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support client management by analyzing and reporting financial and acquisition information.
  • Responsible for the procedural, analytics and data training of the client users.
  • Analyze the UFMS functionality and reporting requirements within the client environment.
  • Perform data analysis of business processes to determine workload volumes.
  • Review existing processes to determine areas of inefficiencies.
  • Develop recommendations for potential future processes.
  • Develop mock-up solutions for implementation.
  • Perform data interrogation activities to determine possible candidates for performance metrics and benchmarks.
  • Create system usage metric and tracking mechanism (#of Contracts, Commitments, Obligations, Invoices, Accruals, Payments) by division and districts.
  • Coordinate data calls for executive data presentations.

Job requirements:

  • 5-7 years’ experience in similar role
  • 3+ years’ experience with UFMS
  • Top Secret clearance

WebFOCUS Developer

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the analysis, development and testing of reports through the Information Builders BI reporting platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage WebFOCUS standard reporting templates and dashboards.
  • Evaluate existing templates for improving visualization and report viewing experience.
  • Maintain inventory of reports and changes.
  • Establish and promote report development uniformity.
  • Develop / tune SQL queries in PL/SQL Developer.
  • Identify missing elements for BI reporting and help address reporting gaps.

Job Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience with WebFOCUS suite of tools.
  • Ability to write SQL queries.
  • 2+ years of Consulting experience
  • Current U.S. Government security clearance (Top Secret a plus)

SQL Server DBA

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides support of MS SQL Server 2016 in the AWS Cloud
  • Works closely with application developers on new development tasks
  • Migration from Oracle based on-premise server to SQL Server 2016 in AWS cloud
  • O&M support
    • Shall resolve problems with the SQL Server database management systems and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements
    • Provides root cause determination in accordance with established problem management principles
    • Support Operations & Maintenance for all SQL Server databases (Dev/Test, Staging, and Production)
